DU YUN
Yun Du, known professionally as "Du Yun," is one of three inaugural B&H Emerging Composers * Equally adept at writing for concert halls, art shows, experimental theatres, and dance * Explores the physical reality of sound with her visceral, genre-defying compositions * Works have been performed internationally * Has received awards, grants, and fellowships from the Fromm Foundation, Jerome Foundation, ASCAP, American Music Center, Shanghai New Music Foundation, and Meet the Composer * Recently joined the faculty of SUNY-Purchase

Looking Ahead:
Du Yun's score for visual artist Shahzia Sikander’s most recent video Interstitial will be on tour in India, Laos, Pakistan and Japan in early 2011.
